Marco Prieto was born in Valdemoro in the outskirts of Madrid (Spain) in 1992. Throughout his life Marco has always been interested by painting, but he didn‘t realize about his art passion until the age 12 when it became clear he wanted to be an artist.
His artworks reflect the power from the portrait that exceeds the representation of any specific identity. He embraces the violence as a key part of the painting process, this allows him to open the possibilities at the unpredictability, leaving no room for the limits of painting. The coloring and the lively brush come together to create a harsh portrait of out contemporary identity, by using the absolute gesture: the hit.
